I am so incredibly excited these people have been exposed (very very greateful for what Alex Jones is doing and the risks he’s taking) and my hope is that everyone will rise up to the mark and take back the reigns. Then I read some of these comments and a small part of my faith in humanity dies.

Actually, Libertarianism is a term used to describe a broad spectrum of political philosophies which seek to maximize individual liberty and minimize or even abolish the state.
I am for the act, I believe that protected groups such as the LGBT community, deserve to be added to that list of hate crimes.
Killing is killing in my opinion, but since straight people aren’t listed as a protect group, and the LGBT community is, it fits.
(cont).. liberty is not provided by the government. and the government that attempts to “level the playing field” doesn’t. it lifts some higher (oppressing others). hate crime legislation is anti-liberty. it is counter to fair, as it places people in groups. maybe do some reading up on natural law, common law vs commerce, as well as the (so called) unintended consequences of (so called) well meaning legislation. bigger government caused the problems we see today, even bigger is worse.

Well, I believe everyone has the same rights, regardless, of who and/or what they are.
But when rights are denied from certain people, it becomes a privilege.
Gays have the right to get married, they are just denied that right, b/c of religion, now it’s a privilege, b/c it’s given to certain people, based on religious views.
Religion has to be the biggest fuck up in this country, b/c everything is based on it, rights wise.

if you give away your rights (power) then you have surrendered them. if you ask for the State to recognize ANY marriage you are not free. i certainly wouldn’t ask the State to get involved in my marriage (a license would imply they GAVE you a right that you didn’t already have). women – in general – certainly could have asserted their rights at the same time as the revolution. see the heinlein quote above from SgtCrom.
lol, gays haven’t refused their rights or in this case privilege to get married, the government has done that, using religion as a cop out.
Blacks were refused, b/c people didn’t think they were human.
Women were refused, b/c people didn’t think they were smart enough.
We have privileges, and until everyone is given the same privileges, their are no “rights.”
ah, but you’re looking past the point. they ARE born with the same rights but refuse(d) to acknowledge them. the founders left England to escape oppression, and claimed their own rights existed whether or not they were being oppressed. many folks chose to lift themselves up and yet still trade in, or keep, or make slaves. in those days the supposedly historically oppressed Jews (many details regarding Aaron Lopez avail on YouTube) oppressed others while attempting to become “free” themselves.
Then why isn’t everyone born with the same rights???
Such as marriage, gays can’t get married, so does that mean they were not born with that right?
Women, until the 1900s couldn’t vote, were they not born with that right?
Blacks couldn’t vote until the 1800s, and was made possible via the 15th amendment, but before that were they not born with that right, either?
We have privileges, their is no such thing as rights, as we call them, we have privileges.
I believe we have 1 of 2 things, either unlimited rights, or no rights, & I lean towards unlimited rights, b/c I feel I have the right to do anything I please, but it becomes a privilege when someone makes a choice for people, sort of like giving a child an allowance, you have the choice to give them an allowance or not, it’s not a right, that they get an allowance, same thing with the government, it has privileges, & it gives those privileges to certain people, usually chosen based on religion.
