A judge has postponed a court hearing for alleged stalker Miley Cyrus to give researchers more time to conclude the search of his home.
Mark McLeod, 53, in court on Tybee Island, Georgia, on Tuesday (18Aug09) after he was arrested twice for harassment Disney star.
However, Judge Steven Scheer postponed the preliminary hearing until August 25 (09) because the results of a raid on the birthplace of Georgia were unprepared. The principal investigator also available for the Tuesday of the court.
An attorney for her father told reporters outside the court his client is “a man” who had recently lost his job and is still in mourning after the death of his mother and brother in the last 18 months .
Attorney James Byrne said: “People need to understand that really it is a human being. If something is wrong, we must address it. It is one of our fellow citizens who might need some help.”
His father was arrested earlier this month (Aug09) Georgia after police saw him loitering around the set of the actress’ upcoming film of the last song.
This arrest was just weeks after being warned by police in June (09) for making “inappropriate comments” to young fans of Cyrus.
On that occasion, his father was released because the authorities claimed there is no place for him in prison and not considered a threat to himself or others.
The 16-year-old star of Hannah Montana has been granted a temporary restraining order against her father earlier this month (Aug09).
